As a global charitable organization, we work with our community and partners to protect access to the Internet and bring connectivity to some of the most remote parts of the world.
We believe Internet access is everyone’s right. It connects people who would otherwise be unconnected. It opens up huge opportunities for education, for collaboration, and for creativity. And it is a powerful equalizer, giving a voice to communities who might otherwise be voiceless.

Lack of connectivity is just one of the issues keeping people shut out of the Internet. Internet shutdowns and censorship leave millions of people disconnected. Privacy concerns and fear of the digital world undermine trust in online spaces, and too many women and girls must fight for equal access to the web.
We are at risk of an Internet that favors the few over the many, limiting opportunities and access to information.

Nojus is an alumnus of our Youth Ambassador Program and the founder of the Youth for Women Foundation. He’s on a mission to empower young people and women to stand against gender-based violence and advocate for equality. In 2023, Manipur in India was plunged into darkness. Amid escalating inter-community violence, the government ordered an Internet shutdown, cutting off millions from the digital world overnight.
